YO SÉ QUE YO AMO (I Know That I Love)

Consuelo Luz's most recent Spanish album includes eight of Consuelo's original songs and two of her favorite traditional ones from Mexico and Venezuela. The musical style is a blend of "balada" (contemporary ballad), Spanish folk and rock. On some songs the accordion adds a folky Southwestern touch, on others the violin, cello and Consuelo's piano create a dreamy, romantic mood. These songs of love, hope, irony and angelic yearnings are a passionate search for the ecstasy of true love, a quest for the deeper, spiritual aspect of love and a celebration of the love that is found in community.
